Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The President’s Address to the Oliy Majlis identified a number of priorities for reforming public education, creating all conditions for education and upbringing of young people, strengthening the material and technical base of secondary schools.
At the same time, first of all, it is necessary to identify and eliminate the existing shortcomings and problems.
Chairman of the Senate Committee on Defense and Security K. Burkhanov met with residents of the regions and studied the problems that concern them.
In particular, during meetings with the population of Urtachirchik district of Tashkent region in January of this year, residents of Uchokli, Yangi Turmush and Tarakkiyot mahallas asked for practical assistance in the overhaul and reconstruction of schools in these mahallas.
When the senators studied the situation in the secondary schools located in Uchokli, Yangi Turmush and Tarakkiyot makhallas, it was found that these schools really do not meet today’s requirements. As it turned out, there are 62 secondary schools in the district, where 27,672 boys and girls study.
Due to the lack of sports halls in 13 general education schools, students do not regularly engage in physical education.
Taking into account the above, the chairman of the Senate Committee on Defense and Security K. Burkhanov sent the Senator’s request to the Minister of Public Education Sherzod Shermatov.
It envisages the adoption of measures to include in the investment program for 2022 the construction of a new modern school building for 120 places instead of the old school building No. 38, located in the makhalla citizens’ gathering "Uchokli" of Urtachirchik district of ] Tashkent region, capital reconstruction of the empty building of school No. 50 citizens of "Yangi Turmush" and school No. 20 in the makhalla assembly of citizens "Tarakkiyot".
