Senate to hold plenary session on 23 April

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 8 April 2021, a meeting of the Kengash of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held. The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbaeva.

At the meeting, it was decided to convene the fourteenth plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan on 23 April 2021.

At the plenary session, which will be held in the form of videoconferencing, it is planned to consider a number of issues. Among them are the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the legal status of foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Republic of Uzbekistan", "On licensing, licensing and notification procedures", "On spatial data", "On publishing", "On psychiatric care", " On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan "," On the ratification of the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement establishing a partnership between the Republic of Uzbekistan, on the one hand, and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, on the other hand (Tashkent, October 31, 2019 ) ".

In addition, it is planned to hear the reports of the Accounts Chamber of the Republic of Uzbekistan on activities in 2020, the Prosecutor General on the activities of the prosecutor’s office in 2020, the Chairman of the Board of the Central Bank on the activities of the Central Bank in 2020.

At the same time, it is planned to discuss the issue of sending a parliamentary request to the Cabinet of Ministers on the state of providing work for graduates of higher educational institutions of the country.

In addition, it is envisaged to consider the results of parliamentary inquiries sent to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan on problems in providing the population with drinking water, the conditions created for the development of women’s entrepreneurship, the state of horticultural and viticultural associations and issues of improving their organizational and legal framework and other issues.
