Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 17 February, the Kengash of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis convened for its regular meeting, chaired by Senate Chairperson Tanzila Narbaeva.

During the session, a resolution was adopted to convene the fourth plenary session of the Senate, scheduled for 20 February 2025. The plenary meeting will be held via videoconference and will focus on discussing a range of key issues.

Senators plan to review laws covering various areas, including the approval of the Concept for Ensuring Freedom of Conscience and State Policy in the Field of Religion, financial support for entrepreneurs, improvements in credit information exchange, tax administration, land use regulations, construction procedures, donor activities, and support for families and women.

The Law on Amendments to Legislative Acts on Financial Support for Entrepreneurship aims to expand business access to financial services and introduce effective financing tools, including factoring.

The law regulating credit information exchange is designed to protect citizens from fraud in the lending sector and prevent unauthorized loan issuance.

The Land Use Law seeks to protect areas designated for cultural and public needs, preserve green spaces, and enhance oversight of land use compliance.

The agenda also includes legislation related to the judicial system, the rights of convicts, as well as waste collection and disposal.

Additionally, the plenary session will address the ratification of international agreements and changes to the administrative boundaries of Samarkand city, as well as Samarkand and Akdarya districts.
