Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - An online meeting of the Senate officials was held with the chairman of the British All-Party Parliamentary Group for Uzbekistan Eduard Bridgen.

The state and prospects for the development of Uzbek-British cooperation, including on the inter-parliamentary line, as well as holding a number of joint events in London, timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence and the upcoming presidential elections in the country, were discussed.

The parties noted the importance of holding joint events in the British Parliament in September to inform British politicians and public figures of the results of reforms carried out in Uzbekistan under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

An exchange of views took place on the further deepening of parliamentary cooperation between Uzbekistan and Great Britain.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on assistance in ensuring the effectiveness of joint events.
