Senate of Uzbekistan adopts resolution on amnesty
The amnesty will be applied to those, who committed crimes, which are not dangerous to the society.
It is planned the release of women, people who were under 18 when committing a crime, as well as men at the age of over 60 and foreign citizens and people with the disabilities (I and II Groups).
Persons, who were sentenced for the first time for their participation in activities of illegal organizations and did not commit heavy crimes will be also pardoned.
It is also planned to exempt persons, sentenced to imprisonment for up to three years, from serving the rest of their term and their sentences have entered into force.
The document also proposed abolish all criminal cases against women, people, who were under 18 when committing a crime, as well as men at the age of over 60 and foreign citizens and people with the disabilities (I and II Groups).
The amnesty will not apply to persons, jailed for life, sentenced for deliberate murder and dangerous crime
