Senate of Uzbekistan adopts resolution on amnesty
The amnesty will be applied to those, who committed crimes, which are not dangerous to the society.
It is planned the release of women, those who were under 18 when committing a crime, as well as men at the age of over 60 and foreign citizens.
Persons, who were sentenced for the first time for their participation in activities of illegal organizations and did not commit heavy crimes, as well as strongly decided to return to correct path, will be also pardoned.
The amnesty will not apply to persons, jailed for life, sentenced for deliberate murder and dangerous crime.
Over 52,000 people were pardoned in Uzbekistan in line with an act of amnesty, which was adopted in connection with the 22nd anniversary of the Constitution of Uzbekistan.
