Senate introduces changes to some laws

The main purpose is to further improve current legislation in the socio-political, socio-economic, legal and judicial spheres, the upper house of the Uzbek parliament said.

This law introduced amendments in the Criminal Code, the Criminal Procedure Code, the Civil Code, the Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan on administrative responsibility, the laws “On the non-state non-profit organizations”, “On operative-search activity”, “On ensuring state pensions for citizens”, “On joint-stock companies and protection of shareholders’ rights”, “On consumer protection”, “On technical regulation”, “On subsoil” and a number of other legislative acts.

The law made amendments to legislation aimed at further improvement of the investment climate and business environment, the development of entrepreneurial activity.

Amendments to the law “On subsoil” will help to further improve efficiency of geological exploration works and create concrete conditions in use of natural resources, as well as improve law enforcement in rational use of natural resources.

The amendments also regulate changes regulating relations in legal area. It sets responsibility to importing and installing old equipment and technologies. It also sets responsibility for violation of flight security rules.
