Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 30 April 2025, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva held a meeting with Japan’s Minister of Justice and Member of the House of Representatives, Keisuke Suzuki.

The discussion focused on the current state and future prospects of Uzbek-Japanese cooperation, with particular emphasis on strengthening inter-parliamentary dialogue.

The sides highlighted the importance of revitalizing the “Japan–Uzbekistan” friendship groups, establishing regular exchanges between parliamentary committees, and sharing experience in lawmaking, parliamentary oversight, and the work of regional representative bodies.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties expressed their readiness to further strengthen friendly ties and foster practical cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan.
