Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 8 February 2022, Chairwoman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs.
During the conversation, the current state and prospects for cooperation between Uzbekistan and Latvia, including inter-parliamentary cooperation, were discussed.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs praised the regional policy pursued under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, as well as efforts to strengthen peace and stability in the Central Asian region.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that relations between the countries in recent years have been characterized by sustainable development dynamics. At the same time, the need was noted for using the existing great potential to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation in many areas.
It was noted that the intensive bilateral political dialogue and active, multifaceted cooperation between our countries is constructive and constructive.
The parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in further deepening inter-parliamentary ties between countries that play an important role in expanding bilateral cooperation in all areas, as well as the practical implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level.
