Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 22 November 2022, First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sodik Safoev met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Uzbekistan Yoshinori Fujiyama, who is completing his diplomatic mission in our country.

During the meeting, Safoev highlighted the fruitful work of the Ambassador of Japan, as well as his great contribution to the development and strengthening of friendship and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Japan.

Along with this, during the dialogue, the current state and prospects for interaction between the two countries were discussed.

During the conversation, it was emphasized that the historic visit of the President of Uzbekistan to the Land of the Rising Sun in 2019 opened up new horizons for the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Japan.

At the end of the meeting, the Ambassador of Japan expressed his readiness to continue to actively support the strengthening of multilateral cooperation between the two countries.
