Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan approved the law “On approval of the Urban Planning Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.

According to the Ministry of Justice, the Urban Planning Code gives the types of objects “settlement”, “city”, “village” and “aul”, discloses such concepts as “unauthorized buildings”, “urbanization”, “participation of citizens in the implementation of urban planning activities”.

The Code establishes norms for ensuring public participation when discussing decisions in urban planning, determining the main areas of compensation for harm caused to legal entities and individuals. The procedure for the development and conclusion of a state work agreement and the strict implementation of the agreement.

The approved law will enter into force after it is signed by the President of Uzbekistan and published in the prescribed manner.
