Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- More and more people choose to provide services or produce goods legally. In two months, 370,412 citizens were interested in new format of employment - this is the number of registered self-employed persons at the beginning of autumn.
Self-employment benefits:
income received as a result of employment is not subject to income tax;
social tax is paid once a year (the minimum amount for 2020 is 111,500 soums);
if the activities of self-employed persons are engaged in family businesses with at least three members, then they pay turnover tax at a rate reduced by 50%.
Self-employed persons in numbers:
104,697 self-employed chose household services (hairdressing, manicure, cosmetology, pedicure, washing and ironing at home, making keys, sewing shoes, repairing and painting, etc.);
78,352 self-employed provide services in the field of agriculture (cattle grazing and care, assistance to owners of household plots in planting and caring for agricultural crops);
66,449 self-employed chose the sphere of social services (tutoring at home, babysitting and care, housekeeping, cleaning of premises, traditional medicine and others);
61,423 self-employed are engaged in industrial services (wooden architecture, plumbing, electrical installation, collection of waste paper, plastic, scrap metal, etc.);
52,462 self-employed work in the production of consumer goods and the service sector (sale of bread, popcorn at home, ice cream, salads, soft drinks, ayran, guzhi and trade in agricultural products in dekhkan markets);
6,988 self-employed are registered in the ICT field (social networking, software development, mobile applications and websites, text creation and processing).
