Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On 25 February 2020, in the city of Urgench, within the framework of the 2nd Forum of interregional cooperation of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan on the theme: “Cooperation of regional business in the field of agricultural cooperation, industry and tourism”, an exhibition of products of leading enterprises of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, as well as a business meeting in the format of "B2B" with the participation of business circles of the two countries was opened.
The event was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Economy and Industry and the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade.
The main goal of this event is to expand trade, economic and investment cooperation, further develop regional cooperation between the border regions of the two countries, as well as create favorable conditions for increasing mutual trade in goods in demand between the business circles of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
The event is attended by more than 70 entrepreneurs from 12 regions of Kazakhstan. At the same time, from the Uzbek side, more than 150 entrepreneurs are participating in this event.
During business events, it is planned to sign a number of bilateral agreements on the development of cooperation between the regions of the two countries, establish cooperative ties in the development of agricultural cooperation, industrial sectors and tourism, as well as conclude trade contracts for the supply of products between entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
This Forum and ongoing business events are aimed primarily at developing bilateral relations in the field of regional cooperation, strengthening economic and business ties between the border regions of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, as well as creating favorable conditions for the development of cooperative ties between industries of the two countries.
The First Forum of interregional cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan was held on 16 November 2018 in Shymkent under the chairmanship of the First Deputy Prime Ministers - Co-Chairs of the IPC of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
