Second “Central Asia – China” Summit to Be Held in Astana with Participation of Six National Leaders

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 17 June, the second summit in the “Central Asia – China” format will be held in Astana, according to the press service of Akorda.

The summit will bring together the leaders of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and the Chairman of the People's Republic of China. The agenda is expected to include discussions on key areas of cooperation between China and the countries of the region, as well as pressing international and regional issues.

The inaugural summit in this format took place on 18–19 May 2023, in the Chinese city of Xi’an. That meeting was historic, marking the first in-person gathering of the six heads of state since the establishment of diplomatic relations more than three decades ago.

The Xi’an Declaration, adopted at the end of that summit, affirmed the shared commitment to deepening multifaceted partnerships.
