SCO leaders to meet in Uzbekistan in September 2016

Speaking at the expanded session of the SCO leaders in Ufa, the SCO member states agreed to hold the next summit of the SCO in the first half of September 2016 as realities of the next year can change.

He said that the concrete dates of the SCO summit will be determined taking into account real situation, which can be formed next year.

Islam Karimov said that Uzbekistan, which is assuming presidency in the SCO, will adhere to principle of succession in the organization.

Uzbekistan will adhere to the principles of succession and continuous strengthening of development of mutually beneficial cooperation, which meets interests of the SCO member states, as well as the continued growth of credibility of the organization in the international arena, he said.
