Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 11-12 April 2022, under the chairmanship of the Uzbek side, the 2nd meeting of relevant experts was held online as part of the preparations for the Meeting of the heads of ministries and departments of the SCO member states responsible for plant quarantine.

The experts exchanged views on the prospects for cooperation within the framework of the SCO in the field of plant quarantine. A common understanding was stated of the usefulness of establishing a mechanism for constant interaction in this area - the Meeting of the heads of ministries and departments of the SCO member states responsible for plant quarantine, and a specialized expert group.

The meeting continued consideration of the draft Regulations of the Meeting and the Agreement between the authorized bodies of the SCO member states on cooperation in the field of plant quarantine.
