Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Yesterday, a regular meeting of the Council of National Coordinators of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SNC SCO) began its work in the city of Bukhara under the chairmanship of Uzbekistan, Dunyo news agency reported.
The opening of the meeting, which takes place in a hybrid format, was attended by Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov, national coordinators of the member states of the organization, as well as heads of the permanent bodies of the SCO.
Within the framework of the meeting, special attention was paid to the preparation of the upcoming meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the SCO Member States, which will be held on 15-16 September 2022 in the city of Samarkand.
An exchange of views will take place on the schedule of the main events of the chairmanship of Uzbekistan in the SCO, as well as draft documents developed by the Uzbek side,
The meeting of the Council of People’s Commissars of the SCO will continue until 14 March.
Uzbekistan has been the chairman of the SCO since September 2021. The previous meeting of the Council of People’s Commissars of the SCO was held on 26-28 January in Tashkent.
