Scientists of the World Society for the Study, Preservation and Popularization of the Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan adopted an appeal to the President of Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the end of the IV International Congress "Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan - the Foundation of a New Renaissance", scientists of the World Society for the Study, Preservation and Popularization of the Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan unanimously adopted an appeal to the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The initiative to accept the appeal was made by scientists from Japan who took part in the IV Congress online. While in the building of the Japanese Embassy in Uzbekistan, 20 scientists prepared a draft appeal, which was supplemented by members of the Board and the Scientific Council of the society.

In the Address, the members of the World Society thanked the head of the republic for assistance in implementing the initiative to transfer 10 thousand copies of 35 volumes of book-albums from the series "Cultural heritage of Uzbekistan in the world’s collections" to libraries and educational institutions of the country. Thanks to the active work of hundreds of orientalists, all libraries, secondary schools and universities of Uzbekistan will soon receive books-albums about the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan in the collections of the Czech Republic, the USA, Italy, Germany, Japan, Great Britain, Russia, Uzbekistan, Turkey and many other countries. This is supported by the government of Uzbekistan.

The proposal to print illustrated books-albums from the series "Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan in the World Collections" and to donate them to libraries and educational institutions of the country was put forward at the III International Congress and supported by the head of state. The first 15 volumes have already been transferred to all educational institutions, and now the second stage of this project is underway.

The appeal notes that the Roadmap for 2021-2025 was adopted at the Fourth International Congress "Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan - the Basis of the New Renaissance". Over the next five years, the World Society for the Preservation, Study and Popularization of the Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan plans to implement more than 100 new projects.

“We intend to continue the publication of books and albums telling about the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan in museums in the country and abroad, the production of documentary and feature films, the holding of scientific forums, the development of educational programs, the work of experts in the field of restoration of the country’s cultural heritage, the development of initiatives aimed at improving legislation, development of tourism”, the Address underlines.

Scientists also highly appreciated the efforts of the head of the republic to preserve the cultural heritage of the country and noted that they are ready to continue to contribute to the development and preservation of the national cultural heritage of Uzbekistan.

“The deepest respect is that the national idea proclaimed by you, aimed at the accomplishment of the Third Renaissance in Uzbekistan, is based primarily on the preservation of culture, and you realize that it is culture that is the basis of the country’s new Renaissance, the rise of the spirituality of society, peculiarities of young generations,” the appeal says.

It is worth noting that the acceptance of an appeal from members of the World Society to the President of the republic is becoming a good tradition - the appeal has been accepted for the fourth time, and scientists invariably receive a positive reaction from the head of the republic. Thus, the World Society and the government of Uzbekistan are building strong communication ties and systematically implementing ideas and proposals for the study, preservation and popularization of the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan.
