Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An international scientific and practical conference will be held on 16-17 September on the topic: "The impact of the pandemic on Central Asia: first lessons, coronacrisis and prospects for transformation".

The event will be held online.

Goals and objectives of the conference:

discussion of the post-pandemic development strategy;

generalization and development of recommendations for overcoming the crisis in all areas;

analysis of the transformation of international and regional management systems, interaction and joint response to crisis situations;

analysis of the prospects for maintaining the positive results of globalization;

discussion of ways to smooth out the negative social and economic effect of the spread of coronavirus;

exchange of views on the impact of the pandemic on the foreign policy of the Central Asian states and their strategic non-regional partners.

The conference will be attended by representatives of political-forming and expert circles in the field of international relations, economics, law, security and regional studies from the USA, Russia, Belgium, Great Britain, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan

The organizers are Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and University of World Economy and Diplomacy.
