Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 11 January, schools in Bukhara, Khorezm and Andijan regions will resume their work.
The Government of Uzbekistan has decided to extend the winter holidays until 17 January due to frost.
On 10 January, the Government of Uzbekistan allowed the regional authorities to independently determine the vacation schedule.
Khokimiyats of Bukhara, Khorezm and Andijan regions announced that all educational institutions will open from 11 January.
In other regions, the third quarter in schools is expected to begin on 18 January.
At the same time, studies at universities, technical schools, colleges, vocational schools and academic lyceums will begin on 11 January, but in stages, in agreement with local authorities.
