Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Education in general education, secondary specialized, professional and higher educational institutions in Kashkadarya region will begin on 11 January. This was reported by the khokimiyat of the region.
At the same time, education in schools located in mountainous and remote villages will begin on 16 January.
In schools that are part of the Agency for Presidential Educational Institutions, classes will begin on 16 January.
From 18 January, training will begin in special boarding schools for the disabled under the control of the Ministry of Public Education.
In all kindergartens of the region, the holidays will last until 17 January. These institutions will start working on 18 January.
The Government of Uzbekistan has decided to extend the winter holidays until 17 January due to frost.
On 10 January, the Government of Uzbekistan allowed the regional authorities to independently determine the vacation schedule.
Khokimiyats of Bukhara, Khorezm and Andijan regions announced that all educational institutions will open from 11 January. Education in schools in Karakalpakstan will begin from 12 January.
