Sardorbek Umurzakov Appointed Head of the Department of External Relations of the Presidential Administration
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed decrees regarding personnel changes within the Presidential Administration.
According to the decree, Sardorbek Umurzakov has been appointed as the Head of the Department of External Relations of the Presidential Administration. In connection with this appointment, he has been relieved of his duties as Chief Inspector of the Presidential Administration.
At the same time, Alisherbek Paigamov has been relieved of his position as Head of the Department of External Relations due to his transition to another role.
The President’s press secretary, Sherzod Asadov, commented on today’s appointments, noting that Sardorbek Ulugbekovich Umurzakov is a diplomat with many years of professional experience.
From 2006 to 2018, he held various positions within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and served in Uzbekistan’s diplomatic missions abroad.
Since 2018, Umurzakov has held senior positions within the Presidential Administration, including in the field of foreign policy, where he has distinguished himself as an effective specialist.
