Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The International Conference "Samarkand SCO Summit: contribution to regional and international security, sustainable development" has started its work in Tashkent.

The organizers of the event are the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the International Institute of Central Asia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The speech of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov is expected at the opening ceremony of the conference.
