Samarkand Pharmacy License Revoked over Violations
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Licensing Department for Pharmaceutical Activities and the Pharmaceutical Inspection Authority of Uzbekistan have revoked the license of SHAXNOZA‑L LLC pharmacy in Samarkand. The decision followed an inspection conducted by the Center for Pharmaceutical Product Safety.
The audit revealed that the pharmacy violated licensing conditions. Central laboratory analyses found eight types of medicines sold without certificates of conformity confirming their quality, while six products were missing from the national drug registry.
As a result, the Center for Pharmaceutical Product Safety filed a lawsuit with the Samarkand Interdistrict Economic Court to revoke SHAXNOZA‑L’s license. The court upheld the claim and annulled license №784119, originally issued on May 22, 2023, for the retail sale of medicines and medical devices.
Under current legislation, the pharmacy’s address and personnel involved in the violations, including pharmacists and pharmacy assistants, have been entered into the unified register of closed pharmacies and licensing violators.
