Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Roodell, a Kia distributor in Uzbekistan, started sales of Kia K8. Starting from 2 February, the new Kia K8 is presented in the showrooms of the official Kia dealers of the Roodell in Tashkent.

With the appearance of the model on world markets in 2021, the name K8 sounded for the first time in the history of Kia. The model was a further step in Kia’s quest for supremacy in the sports sedan segment and continued the success of the K7 (branded as the Kia Cadenza in some markets).

K8 embodies the new design style of the brand and has a new company logo. When creating the model, the main attention was paid to modern premium quality and dynamic performance. The K8 not only received a new name and was the first model introduced during the transformation of the Kia brand, but was also created on the basis of ideas aimed at the future.

The K8 is an innovative sedan that combines sportiness and dynamics with sleek and elegant lines.

At the front of the sedan, the signature tiger nose grille now has a new frameless design that conveys a confident character. The frameless grille is visually integrated with the front bumper - this solution visually frees up space and makes it more voluminous. The grille mesh is also redesigned: artful lines with crystal-shaped cells are shaped to emphasize the play of light and its movement. The main headlight units include direction indicators, the appearance of which resembles clusters of stars.

Above the new grille, the new Kia logo is prominently placed, embodying "symmetry", "rhythm" and "rise" - symbols of Kia’s confidence and the brand’s unwavering loyalty to its customers. This new brand name seems to show the car - and the brand as a whole - the way forward.

Progressive, modern space

Each element of the Kia K8 interior was created according to the canons of the highest level of luxury.

For example, a driver’s seat is installed on the K8, which has advanced ergonomics. It features seven different air cavities – in the back, sides and hips – to help you find the perfect driving position.

Further enhancing driver comfort is the new seat cushion extension feature available for the Ergo Motion Seat. This feature allows the driver to adjust the length of the seat bottom to suit their height and preferred driving position.

With no less attention and care, the developers of Kia K8 treated the comfort of passengers. Like the driver’s seat, the front passenger’s seat has eight electrically adjustable directions for optimal seating and relaxation.

The Kia K8 has three levels of ventilation or seat heating, managing their settings is as simple as possible. The cabin is divided into three microclimate zones, in each of which you can set the most optimal, natural temperature. The driver and all passengers can feel like they are in a luxurious living room, the furnishings of which are selected based on personal preferences.

For passengers in the second row of the Kia K8, a multifunctional center armrest is provided, fully connected to the car’s infotainment system. In addition to retractable cup holders and a USB connector for charging mobile devices, it has a built-in multimedia functions control unit.

High technologies in the interior

The front of the new Kia K8 features a panoramic display that combines a 12-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12-inch infotainment system. The curved display delivers the sharpest graphics, looks ultra-modern and is easy to use. In addition, this solution creates a spectacular and efficient, concise and understandable techno style in the Kia K8 interior.

The K8 is the first Kia to feature Meridian Audio’s industry-leading car audio system. Developed by a world-renowned leading British manufacturer, this premium system features 14 speakers and state-of-the-art technology to deliver the highest level of sound quality for all vehicle interiors. The audio system includes high-frequency speakers with a titanium membrane, which minimizes sound distortion. The membranes of the speakers installed in the doors are covered with grilles made of natural wood fibers, which contributes to the natural atmosphere in the cabin of the K8.

Meridian Horizon audio system software technology, also used in the premium K8 system, allows you to create a three-dimensional, surround sound setup, reminiscent of the crystal clear sound of a real concert hall. Meridian Digital Equalizer optimizes in-car audio playback based on in-car data.

Another cutting-edge high-tech solution offered for the new K8 is the all-new 12-inch head-up display. Compared with the previous generation of the device, this display has a 50% increase in projection area and graphics size.

High-tech driver assistance systems

Kia’s advanced Drive Wise driver assistance systems reduce risks and increase safety for both occupants and other road users. One of the Drive Wise systems offered for the K8 is the FCA (Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist) frontal collision avoidance system, which helps prevent collisions with obstacles that appear in front of the car while driving.

If the vehicle in front of K8 slows down unexpectedly or there is any other risk of a frontal collision – standing car, pedestrian or cyclist – the FCA system generates a warning signal. After a warning, if the risk of collision continues to increase, the FCA system automatically applies emergency braking to the vehicle.

Intelligent cruise control using data from the navigation system NSCC (Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control) helps the K8 driver maintain a safe vehicle speed when driving on the freeway using real-time information from the navigation system. For example, if the driver, with NSCC enabled, sets the speed at the level of the current limit, then the set speed will automatically change if this limit changes. Other features of the NSCC allow, when driving on sections of highways with turns and bends, to automatically reduce the speed of the K8 before turning. After returning to a direct trajectory of movement - NSCC restores the speed of the vehicle to a predetermined value.

Safety

When creating the Kia K8, light grades of high-strength steels were used, which improves the safety of the driver and passengers. The car is also equipped with nine airbags integrated into the structure of the passenger compartment: a driver’s airbag, a driver’s knee airbag, a front passenger airbag, two front side airbags, two rear side airbags and two side curtain airbags.
