Salaries of school and kindergarten principals to increase from 1 September 2025
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Starting from 1 September 2025, salaries for school principals, their deputies, and kindergarten directors in Uzbekistan will be increased, Minister of Preschool and School Education Hilola Umarova announced.
According to the presidential decree, the base salary for school principals will rise by 20%, while their deputies will receive a 15% increase. Kindergarten directors' salaries will be adjusted to match the base rates of deputy principals of third- and fourth-category schools, leading to a pay raise.
Additionally, from 1 January 2026, a performance-based bonus system will be introduced for principals and their deputies. Bonuses will be determined by KPI performance, with principals receiving an additional 20% and deputies 10% of their base salary.
A long-service incentive system will also be implemented for employees of the ministry's regional divisions, benefiting around 15,000 workers. The bonus for school staff will increase to 75% of the minimum wage.
Furthermore, 100% of the revenue from renting out unused school premises will now be allocated to the development of educational institutions, up from the previous 40%.
