Saidov: Meeting with Fidan Strengthens Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Between the Two Countries

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 20 January 2026, the fourth session of the Joint Strategic Planning Group was held in Ankara, co-chaired by Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov and Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.

During the meeting, the sides discussed key areas of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Uzbekistan and Türkiye, including trade and investment, energy security, regional connectivity, counterterrorism and other transnational threats, labor migration, culture, education, tourism, and additional spheres of cooperation.

The session also provided a timely platform to discuss preparations for the upcoming fourth meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council, which will be co-chaired by the Presidents of Uzbekistan and Türkiye.
