Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During a working visit to Moscow at the invitation of the Russian side, Saida Mirziyoyeva, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held a series of important meetings focused on deepening the Uzbekistan–Russia strategic partnership, which continues to grow dynamically and yield tangible results.

Mirziyoyeva met with Anton Vaino, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian Federation. The two sides held detailed discussions on the current state and future prospects of bilateral cooperation. Particular emphasis was placed on the coordination and practical implementation of top-level agreements, with both parties expressing confidence that the emerging mechanism for monitoring their execution would serve as an effective tool for addressing priority tasks identified by the heads of state.

The dialogue also covered key areas of trade, economic cooperation, and investment, including the launch of innovative joint projects and the expansion of interregional ties.

Humanitarian cooperation and labor migration were also on the agenda. Both sides stressed the need for close coordination and proactive engagement on these mutually important issues.

Later that day, Saida Mirziyoyeva met with Sergey Kiriyenko, First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office. Their in-depth conversation reaffirmed that the trust-based relationship between the presidents of Uzbekistan and Russia forms a solid foundation for lasting alliance and multifaceted cooperation.

Special attention was given to youth and human capital development. The parties expressed strong interest in expanding collaboration in these areas through joint programs to support talented youth, exchange of best practices, and training of a new generation of qualified public sector leaders.

Positive trends in education were noted, including the growing number of Uzbek students in Russian universities and the successful operation of Russian university branches in Uzbekistan — all of which strengthen the humanitarian dimension of the bilateral partnership.

Mirziyoyeva also met with Aleksey Gromov, First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Russian Presidential Administration. The central theme of their talks was cooperation in the information sphere amid the rapidly evolving global media landscape.

The two sides emphasized the need to build a balanced, responsible, and resilient media environment, and discussed joint efforts to ensure information security, counter the spread of misinformation, and promote professional journalistic standards. They also confirmed readiness to hold practical consultations in Tashkent on these issues.

The meeting further addressed the media coverage of labor migration and the role of cultural diplomacy. Both parties underlined the importance of a measured approach to shaping public narratives in these areas and expressed their willingness to expand humanitarian initiatives as an effective means to enhance mutual understanding and trust between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Russia.
