Sadyk Safaev elected as the First Deputy Chairperson of Senate

The decision was adopted on 13 December 2016 during the eighth plenary session of the Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan.

The decision was adopted in order to further improve role of parliament in conducting foreign political activities in protection and promotion of national interests in global arena, expanding international economic cooperation, attracting foreign investment and modern technologies into the regions of Uzbekistan, developing tourism, strengthening international image of the country, as well as parliamentary control in the sphere.

Senate said that the First Deputy Chairperson of the Senate will execute function on organization of coordination of the activities, as well as control over execution of programmes and plans in the sphere.

During the session, Senators elected Senator Sadyk Safaev to the post the First Deputy Chairperson of the Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan.
