Russian university’s branch to accept 150 people in new academic year

On 28 May 2015, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution, which approved quota for university in 2015/2016 academic year.

The university will accept 25 people to faculty “Exploitation and serving oil mining objects” and faculty “Drilling oil and gas wells” each.

Faculty “Exploitation and serving gas, gas condensate objects and underground storages” will also receive 25 people. Faculty “Economics and management of oil and gas enterprises” and “Technology of geologic explorations”, as well as “Construction and repair of pipe transport objects” will accept 25 students each.

Education of ten students of the faculty “Exploitation and serving gas, gas condensate objects and underground storages” will be financed due to resources of Lukoil Uzbekistan Operating Company. The company will also finance education of five students of the faculty “Construction and repair of pipe transport objects”.

Branch of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas named after Gubkin in Tashkent city was founded in line with the presidential resolution from 12 January 2007.

The main goal of the branch is to train high skilled specialists for oil and gas industry of Uzbekistan in line with Russian university’s curriculum and common international requirements.
