Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Russian Railways plans to begin electrifying the Bukhara-Urgench-Khiva railway line in Uzbekistan next year. This was reported by TASS agency with reference to the First Deputy General Director of Russian Railways, Alexander Misharin, who spoke on the sidelines of a meeting of the Council on Rail Transport of the Member States of the Commonwealth.
“It will also be next year. I hope that in the near future we will sign a contract. We will clarify the amount now,” the top manager said.
In September, the company announced that it plans to take part in infrastructure projects in Uzbekistan.
