Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergei Lavrov will visit Uzbekistan from 15 to 16 July 2021. This was announced by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.

According to her, Lavrov will take part in the International Conference “Central and South Asia: Regional Interconnectedness. Challenges and Opportunities”.

The forum participants are planning to consider issues of interregional cooperation.

Also, on 16 July, Tashkent will host the 4th meeting of the Foreign Ministries of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

The heads of the foreign affairs agencies will discuss issues of interaction in the field of regional security, countering drug trafficking and terrorism.
