Russian Deputy FM holds talks with Uzbek envoy

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- State Secretary, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Grigory Karasin received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Moscow, Ziyaduylla Pulathojaev, at his request on 13 September.

The parties discussed the state of and prospects for Russian-Uzbek relations, and a number of questions concerning bilateral dialogue at summit and high level. Themes relating to the situation in the Central Asian region also were touched on.

The conversation was held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere typical of Russian-Uzbek relations, based on the principles of strategic partnership and alliance.
