Russian companies actively acquire polyethylene in Uzbekistan

The growth of demand is connected with suspension of operation of the second largest polyethylene producer of Russia – Stavrolen.

The suspension of operations of Stavrolen resulted in growth of prices for low-pressure polyethylene in the Russian market and the companies started to buy the product from Uzbekistan.

The prices for polyethylene from Uzbekistan is comparable with prices in Asia and Middle East (without logistic expenses, but Uzbek polyethylene imported to Russia without import duty. The quality of polyethylene, produced in Uzbekistan, also have some advantages.
