Russian Ambassador to Uzbekistan Concludes His Diplomatic Mission

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Russian Ambassador to Uzbekistan Oleg Malginov is concluding his diplomatic mission in the republic, according to an official statement from the Russian Embassy’s press service.
The head of the Russian diplomatic mission expressed his gratitude to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the government of Uzbekistan, and the people of the country for their support during his tenure.
“My ambassadorial service is coming to an end. It has been a great honor to celebrate Russia Day for the fifth time on the hospitable soil of Uzbekistan, where a million-strong community of our compatriots lives in peace and friendship. They actively contribute to the country’s development and strengthen the historical ties between our nations,” the diplomat said.
Oleg Malginov has served as Russia’s ambassador to Uzbekistan since April 2021, spending more than three years in the post.
