Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Russia from the 2022-2023 academic year may increase quotas for free education of Uzbek citizens in Russian universities. The head of the Ministry of Higher Education of Uzbekistan Abdukodir Toshkulov spoke about this.
According to him, the quota for students from Uzbekistan may be up to 750 places.
Abdukodir Toshkulov noted that over the past 3 years, Russia has increased the number of grant places for students from Uzbekistan. A threefold increase is expected next year, he added.
It should be noted that now branches of 15 Russian universities operate in Uzbekistan, 12 of which were opened in 2018-2021.
