Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Russia may start importing building materials and equipment from Uzbekistan. 

The parties have already agreed to work on this issue, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the head of the Russian Ministry of Construction, Irek Fayzullin.

As noted, the ministry held a meeting with representatives of the industrial sector of Uzbekistan - at it they decided to study in detail the possibilities and mechanisms of such imports.

Fayzullin noted that the needs of the Russian construction complex in resources are being constantly monitored.

According to him, Russia also plans to expand partnerships in this area with countries such as China, Turkey, India and Iran.
