Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The General Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation issued ten citizens accused of committing crimes against property, as well as drug trafficking, to the competent authorities of Uzbekistan for criminal prosecution.
In particular, the Russian side extradited Azamkhon Tojikhujaev. He is accused of taking possession of funds through deception and abuse of trust, causing damage to the victim in the total amount of US$27,000.
Tolib Siddikov is accused of the fact that from May to June 2018, in Kushrabad district of Samarkand region, under the pretext of assisting in employment, he seized the funds of 19 citizens, causing them damage in the amount of US$500 to US$1000.
Also, the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation satisfied the request of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Uzbekistan for the extradition of Mashrapov Bakhtiyor to enforce the verdict of the Ferghana City Criminal Court of the Ferghana Region.
Mashrapov was found guilty that, being a dangerous repeat offender, in the period from May 5 to June 24, 2018, in the territory of the city of Ferghana of the Republic of Uzbekistan, through deception and abuse of trust, he took possession of funds totaling US$1,450.
By the verdict of the Ferghana City Criminal Court of the Ferghana Region of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mashrapov was convicted under paragraph "b" of part 3 of Article 168 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, he was sentenced to 2 years 11 months 8 days of restriction of freedom and a fine of 25,836,000 soums.
Due to the fact that the attacker evaded serving his sentence, by the decision of the Ferghana City Criminal Court of the Ferghana Region of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 20 June 2019, the unserved part of the sentence was replaced by him with imprisonment for the same period. Then he was put on the wanted list.
These citizens were detained at various times on the territory of the Russian Federation. The General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan prepared the relevant requests for their extradition.
The decisions of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation on extradition have entered into force, and the Federal Penitentiary Service has been instructed to transfer them subject to the necessary security measures.
Accompanied by a special convoy, they were shipped to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
