Ruslan Chagaev Responds to Valuev’s Comments on Central Asia and Ready for a Match

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Former professional Uzbek boxer Ruslan Chagaev sharply criticized his former opponent Nikolay Valuev following Valuev’s recent statements about Central Asia.

Chagaev stated that he is ready to face Valuev in the ring again if necessary. According to Chagaev, the punches he delivered to Valuev in their previous bouts are still being felt.

“Perhaps this is the work of artificial intelligence, but if not — I apologize to the Uzbek people. It seems the punches I landed back then are starting to show their effect. Just kidding. You all know that currently the relations between Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Vladimir Putin are very good. But people like Valuev ruin it all,” the former boxer commented.

Russian boxer and State Duma deputy Nikolay Valuev recently made sharp statements regarding post-Soviet countries, urging the youth to prepare for potential new “special military operations.”

Valuev claimed that over the past 30 years, Russia had pursued a “soft” policy toward former Soviet republics, but, in his view, this approach failed to produce the expected results. He therefore suggested the need for stricter measures.

Valuev also hinted that Russia might carry out several more such operations in the future and expressed support for the views of philosopher and political scientist Alexander Dugin, regarded as one of the ideologists of the “Russian world” concept. He argued that the long-standing “carrot” policy toward post-Soviet republics had not succeeded and, in his opinion, it now requires the “stick.”

Several sources reported that the video featuring Valuev’s statements may have been generated using artificial intelligence technology. No official confirmation or denial has been issued so far.
