Rosselhoznadzor bans transit of 40 tonnes of dairy products to Uzbekistan

Federal service on veterinary and phytosanitary control of the Russian Federation (Rosselhoznadzor) banned a transit of 38 tonnes of ready dairy products from Germany and Latvia to Uzbekistan via the territory of Russia.
The transit of 20 tonnes of dairy products, produced in Litva, was banned from transit via Russian territory at the preliminary notification point Krasnaya Gorka in Smolensk region.
According to veterinary certificates, the cargo with weight of about 20 tonnes was heading to Uzbekistan. But according to the Russian requirements, the transit of goods to third countries via crossing points of Belarus is banned.
The same reason was also behind ban of transit of French dairy products with the with the weight of over 18 tonnes. The products were returned to their producers.
