Road traffic video surveillance system records 10,000 violations

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A system of management of road traffic security in Tashkent recorded 10,000 cases of road traffic rules’ violations in 1.5 days, representative of the Tashkent city department of Interior Affairs Shukhrat Muratov said today.

The surveillance cameras, installed at 115 roads in Tashkent, started to record the violations of traffic rules from 15 March 2017.

As of 12:00 of 16 March 2017, the cameras recorded over 10,000 violations of road traffic rules.

The system recorded over 4,900 cases of passing through a red light and more than 4,100 cases of speeding.
