Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Road repair work has begun on Keles Yuli Street in Almazar district of Tashkent, aimed at developing road infrastructure, regulating traffic flow and reducing traffic jams. This was announced by the press service of the capital’s khokimiyat.
As part of the project, it is planned to reconstruct the street on a segment of 3.1 km - from Victory Park to the Tashkent ring road.
The project envisages an increase in lanes from 4 to 6. At the same time, in some places, based on design decisions, the number of lanes can reach up to 11.
Now, at peak times, an average of 5500-6000 cars per hour move along this section of the road and intersections. After reconstruction, this indicator will increase by 15-20%.

Within the framework of the project, a closed drainage system with a length of 7.7 km will be built and collectors for water drainage will be installed. All engineering communications, including networks of electricity, heat and water supply, sewerage, and communications, will be placed under the footpaths.
