Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- By order of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 24 July 2021, a "Road Map" of measures to stimulate economic development, improve the efficiency of public administration and international cooperation was approved.
The document stipulates the implementation of specific measures to develop a program of economic reforms for the medium term, mechanisms for their implementation, improve the quality of public administration, improve the system of internal communications and interaction between the state and citizens, as well as strengthen the image of Uzbekistan in the international arena.
In particular, the road map includes such measures as the development of a national development strategy for the country for 2022-2026, a strategy for the development of financial markets and capital markets, industrial policy that takes into account the advantages and characteristics of the development of various industries and regions, reforming the agricultural sector, privatization of state-owned enterprises , development of public-private partnerships, support for small and medium-sized businesses in the post-period period, improvement of the legal system and improvement of the investment climate, increasing the potential and qualifications of civil servants, as well as other activities.
The implementation of these activities will be carried out by the responsible ministries and departments in close cooperation with the Agency for Strategic Development and Adviser to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on economic development, effective management and international cooperation S. Chakrabarti.
The successful implementation of these reforms will significantly increase the investment attractiveness of the country, fully use its industrial potential, as well as lay the foundation for ensuring sustainable economic development of Uzbekistan.
