Risk Assessment System for Alcohol, Ethanol, and Tobacco Production and Trade to Be Launched in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Government of Uzbekistan has approved the “Regulation on the Introduction of an Automated Risk Analysis System for Monitoring the Production and Circulation of Consumer and Technical Ethyl Alcohol, Alcoholic Beverages, and Tobacco Products.”
The document defines the procedure for implementing the automated system, which is designed to monitor production, circulation, and sales of these goods. The system will cover all stages of business activity — export, import, production, processing, storage, transportation, and sale.
Importantly, the use of the system will not entail suspension of business operations or create any obstacles to entrepreneurs’ activities.
Enterprises will be categorized according to their identified risk level — high, medium, or low risk of committing violations.
Entrepreneurs classified as low-risk will receive a written notification via their personal account outlining any detected shortcomings and providing recommendations for their correction and prevention of future violations.
The system aims to enhance transparency and efficiency of control mechanisms while reducing administrative pressure on law-abiding businesses.
