Retail trade turnover of Uzbekistan hits 7.511 trln. soums in 1Q

In the structure of retail trade turnover, the share of food products was 50.7% and that of non-food products – 49.3% (in January-March 2011 – 47.2% and 52.8% respectively).

In January-March 2012, the retail trade turnover of trade enterprises hit 3.053 trillion soums or increased by 8.4% in comparison with January- March 2011. In the structure of the retail trade the turnover of trade enterprises was 40.7%.

In the total turnover of trade enterprises the share of the retail trade turnover of trade enterprises in the rural area was 25.9%.

The sale of agricultural products and livestock in dekhkan markets has increased by 14.2% and reached 3.051 trillion soums. The share of sales in the retail trade turnover was 40.6%.

The goods turnover of commodity and specialized markets was 1.406 trillion soums or 9.9% higher than in January-March 2011. The share of the informal sector in the total volume of goods turnover was 18.7%.
