Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 25 February, Rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan arrived at their homeland. 

Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan at the Tashkent International Airport were met by the Minister of Emergency Situations, Major General Abdulla Kuldashev, Turkish Ambassador to Uzbekistan Olgan Bekar, media representatives, the public and other officials.

On 6 February, a devastating earthquake occurred in the southeastern provinces of Turkiye, killing tens of thousands of people. On behalf of the President of Uzbekistan, a search and rescue team of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of 100 people was sent to the epicenter of the natural disaster, namely to the province of Hatay.

The rescue operation with the participation of our detachment lasted more than a couple of weeks. During this time, the guys got 18 people alive and about 200 dead from the rubble.
