Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 1 June, in the building of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, in connection with the International Children’s Day, pupils of charity houses, specialized boarding schools for children with disabilities, as well as talented children from mahallas met with senators and got acquainted with the work of the Senate.
At the meeting, the Chairman of the Senate Narbayeva congratulated the children on 1 June - International Children’s Day and briefly spoke about the activities of the Senate, the laws adopted in the plenary hall, and noted that today in our country there are all opportunities for gaining knowledge and conducting research.
“Modern schools have been built so that you gain knowledge, sports facilities have been created for physical improvement, various centers for developing your talents. Many other possibilities are at your fingertips.
The right of everyone to free education has been ensured, and much attention is paid to individual education.
The activities of creative schools and presidential schools have been established. Specialized educational institutions have been created, of which 56 specialize in mathematics, 28 in chemistry and biology, and 14 in information technology.
Each of you is individual. Everyone has their own interests, talents and abilities. These schools lay a solid foundation for their implementation, development in the future of the field you have chosen,” noted the Chairperson of the Senate.
Chairman of the Senate Committee on Science, Education and Health O.Iminov, Chairman of the Committee on Youth, Culture and Sports B.Saifullaev and Chairman of the Youth Parliament under the Senate B.Tukhtamurodov also took part in the meeting and congratulated the children on the holiday.
The children were explained that the future of the country is in the hands of young people, in the magnificent buildings built there is an opportunity to work, and for this it is necessary to study hard, explore and gain knowledge
In turn, the children also received detailed answers to their questions.
After that, the children got acquainted with the process of adopting laws, the process of organizing parliamentary control over their implementation.
By tradition, at the end of the event, children and senators were photographed for memory. Children were given gifts on the occasion of the holiday.
