Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Representatives of the oil and fat industry of Uzbekistan and Russia during a teleconference organized by the Embassy of our country in Moscow, discussed the prospects of mutually beneficial cooperation, Dunyo reported.
The main objectives of the event were the establishment of sustainable and long-term cooperation between the two countries in this field, discussion of the development of new and implementation progress, existing joint investment projects.
From the Uzbek side, the senior officials of the diplomatic mission, heads of the Association of Oil and Fat Industry Enterprises “Uzogmoysanoat”, a number of domestic firms and companies took part in the video conference. The Russian side was represented by the leaders and employees of Sodrujestvo Trading House LLC, the Nijny Novgorod Oil and Fat Plant and Blago groups of companies, EFKO Management Company JSC, and the Russian Oil and Fat Union.
The Russian participants were familiarized with the comprehensive measures being taken in Uzbekistan to develop the oil and fat industry, increase production volumes and expand the range of finished products to best meet the needs of the population. Particular attention is paid to the ongoing work in the country to further reduce government participation in the field, increase its investment attractiveness and create conditions for the introduction of modern technologies.
The attention of Russian entrepreneurs is presented with detailed information about the business climate in the republic, the available benefits and preferences for foreign investors, specific directions and proposals for mutually beneficial cooperation are indicated. The Uzbek side voiced a proposal to organize a visit to the country of a delegation of companies that are part of the Oil and Fat Union of Russia to study its capabilities and potential in the production of high-quality oil and fat products.
The videoconference was held in a constructive setting. The participants agreed that the event opened a new format of communication between business circles working in the oil and fat sector. In this regard, the parties expressed a mutual desire to regularly organize such television bridges.
