Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Employees of the Consulate General of our country in St. Petersburg, together with representatives of the Agency for External Labor Migration (AVTM) under the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations of Uzbekistan and Uzbekistan Airways JSC, visited one of the production workshops of the LLC "The group of companies DARNITSA and the hostel of the construction company JSC Renaissance Construction, Dunyo news agency reported.
It should be noted that Group of Companies Darnitsa is a modern Russian industrial holding, one of the three leaders in the bakery market in the North-West region of Russia. The group of companies produces more than 150 tons of products every day. About 250-300 citizens of Uzbekistan work at the production enterprises of this company.
Renaissance Construction is an international construction company, founded in 1993 in St. Petersburg, is engaged in a full range of services in the design and construction of shopping and business centers, multifunctional complexes, hotels, heavy industry, processing industry, residential buildings, energy facilities and infrastructure. Currently, about 500 citizens of Uzbekistan live in the hostel of this company.
Our fellow citizens learned about the changes and additions made to the electoral legislation of our country, the preparation process for the upcoming presidential elections in Uzbekistan in October. The importance of the active participation of every citizen was noted.
Preliminary negotiations were also held with the management of the enterprises regarding the organization of polling stations in the territories of these companies.
At the same time, the citizens of Uzbekistan were familiarized with the activities of the Consulate General in St. Petersburg. The diplomats also advised compatriots on consular and legal issues, including the exchange of passports to travel abroad in a pandemic, vaccination and other issues.
Along with this, the representative of the AVTM spoke about the reforms carried out in our country in the field of labor migration, about training courses on specialized training for citizens of Uzbekistan who work on Russian territory. It should be noted that these training courses are organized by the representative office of Uzbekistan AVTM in St. Petersburg together with Worldskills Russia and the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia in the cities of the North-West Federal District of Russia.
In turn, the representative of Uzbekistan Airways informed the compatriots about the rules for the carriage of passengers and familiarized them with the price range of air tickets.
