Representatives of Government to be appointed in regions

The document approved the regulation on information-analytical department on issues of complex social-economic development of the territories of the Cabinet of Ministers.

The Department will operate under the authority of the Prime Minister and is subordinated to the First Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan.

The department’s activities will be directed at information-analytical support of the Cabinet of Ministers, its presidium, as well as executive office of the Cabinet of Ministers on issues of complex social-economic development of the territories.

The resolution said that head and leading specialists of the Department in Karakalpakstan, regions and Tashkent city are authorized representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers in corresponding territories.

The department will carry out monitoring and analyze special-economic development of territories, execution of programmes of social-economic development of territories, prepare analytical materials on current state of development of economy and social spheres of the territories.

The department will also develop proposals on social-economic development of territories, efficient use of mineral-raw resources, labour and production of potential of each region, etc.

System analysis of demographic processes and the age and sex structure of the population of the territories, the level and structure of employment, development of proposals on improving the incomes of the population are also included to the main tasks of the Department.
